Fall Break

       Hi, this is Jessica Le. I want to talk about the things that I did for fall break.
       Fortunately, My roommate Grace invited me to her house and spent time with her family. First day, we went to Dollywood which was a theme park jointly owned by entertainer Dolly Parton. I was really excited to go because I have not go to a theme park since I came to Tennessee. However, when we got the pass tickets and I couldn't wait to take the most scary roller coaster in this park called The Eagle. Grace dragged me and said she couldn't stand upside down. Oh my god, upside down is my favorite part. I was so sad and disappointed but I chose to leave. When I was leaving that park, I turned to back repeatedly at every step,
       Next day, we went to Indoor Wingsuit Flying. I have searched this online in China but I have never tried. At first, I was a little bit sacred because I was afraid of the coach could not catch me successfully and I would lose my balance. However, it was amazing when I actually started my challenge. The coach put me on his head and circled around so quickly. I actually felt like a bird which was flying freely in the sky. After this amazing experience, we went to Laser Tag which was a tag game played with guns which fire infrared beams. I was not good at it for a reason that I was not good at shooting. I  shot the wrong part all the time.  In the end of the game, Grace won the best player and I was so happy for her. 
        I was so thankful for Grace and her family. I was planning to write a thanks letter to them. They let me have a wonderful experience in America and I will never forget it!

    Sounds like it was great! Amusement parks are so fun. I am always afraid to ride the rides, but then, I am always happy I did.. once it is over! See me to make corrections!

Dear ponyboy: My name is Susan who was a member of Socs. I know that you guys of Greasers might admire us. However, I need to tell you that you totally misunderstand us. Maybe we have good grades, good cars and good outfits in your eyes. But that's wrong, it was not the money that separate us. Thinking about the story of Columbus

   This week I read the story about Columbus who was a famous navigator and explorer. He was a controversial historical figure because he pend up the rise of American but he also murdered many American Indians. From his story, I learned that I can dream what I want to dream; go where I want to go; be what I want be because we only have one life and only one change to do all the things we want to do. Columbus was a charming person due to his braveness and innovative spirit. He did not have a correct and necessary map for his voyage. However, he still made the first voyage across the Atlantic.     American history is the hardest subject for me because I don’t have any background and English is not my first language. I even had the second the thought when I first looked at the textbook. From now on, I’m gonna say yes to this subject that I need to work on it. Nothing is difficult, if you put your heart into it.
